    Description

    This is an extremely scarce First World War U.S. Navy Cross Presentation Case that is in very good condition. It is constructed of wood with the exterior covered in genuine, lightly pebbled black leather. The case exhibits loss of finish due to rubbing and handling but is solid and without damage. It measures 4¾ inches in length by 2½ inches in width and 1 inch thick. The hinge at the back of the case is leather covered and completely functional. The interior of the lid is with a thin white satin pad that is slightly toned with age. In the center of this pad is the BB&B unicorn logo surrounded by the wording, “THE BAILEY, BANKS, & BIDDLE CO.” within a twisted, double rope border and, “PHILADELPHIA” at the base. The lower part of the case is fitted with a deep navy-blue velvet pad upon which the Navy Cross would rest. The satin hinge covering is completely intact and undamaged. This is a super scarce case to find in any condition and this one remains undamaged and ready for your First World War Navy Cross.
