Turkish Wedding Mirror Galatasaray (Istanbul) Football Logo 900 Coin Silver. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. A Turkish friend explained to me what this is all about. The silver framed mirror is a traditional gift of the groom to his bride. This one is a heavy 900 coin silver repousse frame. The mirror is hung in the couples living room for good luck with the mirror facing the room. At prayer time the mirror part is turned to the wall (so the chain). Our groom had a unique sense of humour that I hope the bride appreciated. The back side of the mirror displays the usual fancy repousse scrolling but in this case around the logo of a football team !!! The Galatasaray team is from the Europe side of Istanbul. Talk about team loyalty. Maybe the guy was a player?
