    Description

    Being offered is a most unusual
    Egyptian 900 silver
    beautifully detailed rose on a stem issuing from a silver vase or urn with repoussé floral decoration. The delicate rose, a miniature masterpiece of silverwork, with fine detail to the individual petals and the two leaves on either side, is fitted to the center of the beautifully hand chased vase by means of a screw thread to the end of the stem. Both the stem and the surface of the vase are marked with a punch that indicates that this object was assayed in
    Alexandria
    as 900 purity silver (90%), and the marks to the underside of the vase show that it was made at some date after
    1946
    . This delightful item remains
    in
    very good antique condition
    and bears
    no monograms
