Early 1900s black-and-white photograph of August Horch and two companions in one of the first Horch cars, built in 1901 in Cologne. On the back of this official Audi commemorative photo are details in German and English about the early days of Horch & Cie. Motorwagenfabrik. Horch was in charge of motor-vehicle assembly operations at Carl Benz in Mannheim from 1896-1899. His company would eventually merge with Audi, DKW, and Wanderer to form Auto Union AG.
Photo measures 7" x 9 1/4" (18 x 23 cm) — actual image is smaller at 7 x 7.5" (18 x 19cm).
