Presented is Hallmarked Ottoman Era Greek Craftsman or Turkish 3 piece sterling silver covered dish with cut out and classic shield and crest on lid. The covered dish is with a domed lid and has an insert with two inward facing clips for removal when in use, the inner dish I assume is for insulation of food and with two heavy cut out handles the entire set is impressive. This is a finely crafted, useful item. This is made of solid  silver. Perfect for use with entertaining every day or formal dining. The makers marks are listed in my book Ottoman silver marks

:
The item is marked with numerous hallmarks. Indicating solid silver circa 1890, there is also a makers mark. While there is no monogram there is a shield on one side of lid and a crest on the other side. There is the Makers name in Greek T Kosorelis (
T. Kosorelis )
the Ottoman Tugra and the Sha mark.
Condition:
a few slight dents, A light assay mark to the base on one side. One of eight corners has a slight bend up. Some light scratches from gentle use, could use a bit more polishing
